We are Jerry and Melody Clementz. We live on a small farm in northwestern
Illinois. Our goal is to live a clean, honest life putting the Lord first in our lives.
Jerry works at the Arsenal Island helping to make safe armored vehicles for our military,
does the many different jobs required here at home on the farm along with all the Boxer
needs, and loves water skiing. I, Melody, board horses, give riding lessons, do horse and
carriage weddings, and do a little showing. I also raise our Boxers, have chickens, a
bucket calf or two, raise flowers, and try to keep many other things going on the farm.
We have three children, Jerry, Jr. who is an office tech; David, who is a farm hand; and
Jennifer who manages three different Subways. Jerry, Jr. has two sons, JT (stands for
Jerry Lee Clementz, the Third) and Clayton. David has one daughter, Alexis. We love those
grandbabies!

We've had Boxers for fourteen years now. We are very passionate about the
Boxer breed so our main objective is to raise Boxers with good health and temperament as
most of our Boxers go into family homes. We also try to breed for good conformation as
Boxers are a working breed. If we get a show baby, that is the icing on the cake. We
health test all of our breeding Boxers for heart, hip, and thyroid. We only breed to
other Boxers who have had the same testing, plus we carefully study pedigrees as well. We only have puppies occasionally. Please watch
for future puppy announcements as we hope to have a litter late 2007 and possibly one
sometime in 2008. Every once in a while, we have an adult dog who needs a good "forever",
too. We also highly recommend checking into Boxer rescues, as these puppies and dogs need homes too. These rescues can be found on the Midwest Boxer Club web site.
I recently did some web surfing to see what other Boxer breeders were out
there and what they are doing. I was extremely disturbed at what I found. There are
breeders using white stud dogs, breeders charging outrageous prices for puppies, doing
vet checking-not health testing of their breeding stock, etc. It was very obvious that
many of them are puppy mills and all of them are only in it for the money. They do not
take good care of feeding, housing, and veterinarian care for their dogs so they can save
a buck. These types of breeders prey on the innocent public and abuse the innocent dogs
for monetary gain only! Yes, it does takes a good amount of money to raise puppies
properly so the puppies "need" to be priced accordingly, but people should not be taken
advantage of. We pray that anyone interested in a puppy will do their research first and
only buy from a reputable breeder. A good place to start would be a call to local veterinarians and dog clubs. These breeders stand by their puppies because they
have a passion for the breed, not the money. These breeders will not be afraid to give
referrals. They will answer your questions and will be there when you need them. A visit
to the www.stoppuppymills.org
web site should put a scare into anyone who thinks that a puppy at a cheaper price is the
way to go! God gave us dominion over the animals. That means to care for them, not
exploit them!
We hope you enjoy your visit to our cyber home. We'd love to hear from you
so drop us an
e-mail.
Please come again. God bless you!
